They're called marble steps, not stoops - that's a New York thing. These are as Baltimore as snowballs and pit beef. And in Baltimore, you keep your steps clean by scrubbing them. 

Notice the humor of the spilled bucket, reinforced by the pigeon - another Baltimore resident.

Inside the rowhouse - a bedroom true to its owner. No amount of pink is too much in a girl's room, no matter how old the girl may be. 

Flowered wallpaper, the crucifix, the Madonna and Child picture (bought at Holy Rosary or on The Avenue). 

And everything on display - laid out nice, as we'd say - the robe, the slippers, the prized doll with crocheted dress. 

A labor of love without a hint of irony. Everything but the smell of sausage cooking.
